Sam Marvin Harrell

On the morning of Wednesday, January 16, 2019, 82 year-old, Sam Harrell, went to be with his Lord and Savior in heaven.

Sam was born in Potterville, Georgia on January 12, 1937, the son of the late John W. and Martha Frankie Harrell. He retired from Borden Dairy Company with over 25 years of dedicated service. Sam loved the Lord and was a dedicated Gospel singer and preacher. Over the years, he pastored churches in Eatonton and Milledgeville. The Church of God on Green Street in Warner Robins was his most recent church home.

His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife, Edith Ruth Harrell of Jeffersonville; children, Terry Harrell (Cecilia) of Warner Robins, Allen Harrell (Shirley) of Tennessee, Chris Harrell (Melinda) of Monroe, Georgia, Sara Broadnax (Jimmy) of Mitchell, Georgia, Kathy Williams (Eddie) of Jackson, Georgia, and Sandy Williams (Floyd) of Brooklet, Georgia; stepdaughters, Glenda Jones James and Linda McCranie (Tony), both of Jeffersonville, Judy Stone King (Dean) of Milledgeville, and Brenda Bean of Tampa, Florida; 13 grandchildren; 10 step-grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 11 step-great-grandchildren; siblings, Molly Fae Harrell of Orange Park, Florida, Sylvia Jane Fuller of Macon, John Allen Harrell of Jacksonville, Florida and Joe Harrell and Eunice O’Steen, both of Jacksonville, Florida; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Saturday, January 19, 2019, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 20, 2019 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Following the service, Sam will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
