Samuel Ellis Privette

July 20, 1930 — August 27, 2008

Sam Privette, 78, entered into rest on August 27, 2008.

Mr. Privette was born on July 20, 1930, in Spring Hope, North Carolina. With pride and honor he served his country in the U.S. Air Force in electronics, air conditioning, and in Aero-technology for twenty years. Following retirement he continued to serve as a civil servant at Robins Air Force Base. As well as being a member of the Central Georgia Radio Club and the Civil Air Patrol, he was a fifty-year member of the Tyrian Lodge III F& AM. Friendship Baptist Church was his home church. His parents, J.W. Privette and Annie Vester Privette, and son, Martin Privette, preceded him in death.

His memory will forever be treasured by his wife of fifty-five years, Frances "Elaine" Stevens Privette; son, David Privette, Warner Robins; daughter, Barbara (Rick) Boler, Ray City; son, Steven (Theresa) Privette, Gray; brothers, Nuel (Mary Alice) Privette, Tarboro, North Carolina, and Jimmy (Irene) Privette, Hickory, North Carolina; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Visitation will be Friday, August 29, 2008, from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 on Saturday, August 30, 2008, at Friendship Baptist Church; Reverend Paul Cowles officiating. Interment will follow in Magnolia Park Cemetery. Memorials may be given to Friendship Baptist Church Building Fund, 1322 Feagin Mill Road, Warner Robins GA 31088; or Heart of Georgia Hospice, 103 Westridge Drive, Warner Robins GA 31088; or to the donor's favorite charity.
