Sandra D. Mclemore

Sandra McLemore, 74, joined her beloved husband of 56 years, James H. McLemore in heaven on Saturday, June 24, 2017.

Sandra was born to the late Earl B. and Nannie Logan Duckworth on February 11, 1943 in Oak Park, Georgia. On November 22, 1959, she married James, the love of her life, and fully dedicated herself to serving him and raising their children during their school years. After all of the children grew up, Sandra went to work as a secretary at Robins Air Force Base retiring with over 20 years of Civil Service. Avondale Baptist was her church home. Sandra's love for her family always shone bright and the same love was shown to her cat, "Marie." Her devotion to her family, church, and friends will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.

In addition to her husband and parents, Sandra was also preceded in death by her sisters, Kathlyn Bullock, Evelyn Collins, Nell D. Fordham, and Vivian Farmer.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her loving children, James Rory McLemore (Kathy) of Byron, Randall H. McLemore (Connie) and Dennis W. McLemore (Marian), both of Perry, and Tammy M. Holland (Barry) of Hawkinsville; fifteen grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; brothers, Emory L. Duckworth and Bernard Duckworth, both of Musella; and a number of adoring nieces, nephews, and extended family.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 28th in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to the service. Following the service, Sandra will be laid to rest in a private committal at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.

McCullough Funeral Home has the privilege of being entrusted with Mrs. McLemore's arrangements.
