Sara Blue "Tiny" White

October 19, 1944 — March 16, 2022

On the afternoon of Wednesday, March 16, 2022, Sara Blue “Tiny” White, joined her beloved son, Gary White; parents, Robert E. and Jamie Jones Blue; and siblings, Fredrick Blue (Denise), Thomas Blue and Jamie B. Rumph, in Heaven. She was 77 years old.

Born and raised in Marshallville, GA, Tiny came into the world on October 19, 1944; she was the third of seven children. She excelled in a 42-year career in Civil Service at Robins Air Force Base as a key punch operator and order writer specialist for traveling chaplains. She wasn’t only successful in the work force, however. Tiny thrived as a mother and military wife as she always looked forward to traveling overseas with her former husband’s military career and family. A loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, it was obvious that she loved her family with every inch of her heart.

Tiny was a God-fearing lady who was straight-forward and told it like it was. You knew where you stood with her, at all times. She was a longtime, faithful member of Bethel Baptist Church in Marshallville where she loved fellowshipping and worshipping with fellow church members. In her free time, Tiny enjoyed playing cryptograms, reading, and shopping, especially on QVC. She was a self-taught knitter, as well. And though she was more of a homebody, she delighted in going to family parties to celebrate whatever the occasion might be. To have Tiny in our lives was a blessing that will forever be treasured by us all.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Marilyn Herron (Charles); grandchildren, Jessica Tyson Rutherford, Darian Tyson and Sean Tyson; great-grandchildren, Davonta, Terrence, Nyasia, Mylia, Gariana, Crishia, Amir, Samia, Kyro and Zaria; siblings, Barbara Blue Tinker, Edward Blue (Buelette), and Carolyn Blue Jennings; sister-in-law, Helena Funderbuck; brother-in-law, Eddie White; and a host of adoring nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 26, 2022, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Afterward, Tiny will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
