Sara H. Young

Sara H. Young, 80, entered into rest on Friday, January 3, 2014.

Sara was born on September 19, 1933 in Butler, Georgia to the late Martis and Lucy Bell Barfield Harris. She was a longtime faithful member of Sandy Valley Baptist Church. Sara retired from Robins Air Force Base where she worked in civil service as an Electronics Technician. Sara's sweet disposition and kindness to others will be remembered by all who knew and loved her. She enjoyed volunteering at many local nursing homes to help in any capacity where she was needed to serve. Her parents and her husband, William J. Young, preceded her in death.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her brother, Robert Harris (Catherine), Thomaston; sister, Martha Nixon (Kenneth), Centerville; and many loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 6, 2014 at Sandy Valley Baptist Church. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given to Sandy Valley Baptist Church, 1124 South Houston Lake Road, Warner Robins, Georgia 31088.
