Sara Jo Reynolds

Sara Jo Reynolds, 92, was reunited with her beloved husband, John Reynolds, on Friday, December 21, 2018.

Sara was born on February 23, 1926 in Newnan, Georgia to the late Freddie and Ella Mae McElwaney. Growing up in Newnan, she attended Newnan High school. Sara married her love, John, and moved to Galveston for a few years before making her home in Warner Robins in the early fifties. She served her beloved family as a homemaker and was a long time, faithful member of Second Baptist Church. Sara enjoyed sewing, making Christmas ornaments and many other crafts. She will be remembered as a strong willed, loving mother.

Sara was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John D. Reynolds; son, James “Jimmy” Lambert; parents, Freddie and Ella Mae McElwaney; siblings, Gladys Barber, Wanda Phillips and Fred J. McElwaney.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her children, Lynda Lambert Sanders (Hoyt); John “Johnny” Reynolds (Nancy), Joseph “Dan” Reynolds (Laurie), all of Warner Robins and Carol Jordan of Macon; grandchildren, James “Jimmy” Lambert, Jr. (Michelle), Tia Childree, Jason Lambert, Lori Grandon Erika Busbee (Robert), Laurie Nolan and Jim Sanders; great grandchildren; SSGT James “Hayden” Lambert (Ashley) Sydney Lambert, Jessica Simmons, Joshua Pace (Jamie) and Ryne Pace and great-great grandchildren; Bentley Pace, Blake Pace, Sadie Lambert and Theodore Busbee.

Visitation will be Wednesday, December 26, 2018, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home with Funeral services following at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel. Mrs. Reynolds will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
