Sharon Dawn Leonard

Sharon Dawn Leonard, 70, entered into rest on Thursday, November 22, 2018.

Sharon was born on February 26, 1948 in Bar Harbor, Maine to the late Jesse Lee Forbis and Annie Irene Spears Forbis. Most of all, she loved sharing photos and stories about her grandchildren. Sharon’s other pastimes included traveling, lunching with friends, and spending time with her family whom she loved dearly.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her loving husband of 52 years, CSM. John James Leonard Jr., U.S. Army (Ret.); daughters, Jessica Leonard Casey (Jim) of Athens, Georgia and Lynn Leonard Tinkham (Blair) of Manchester, Maine; grandchildren; Chloe, Simon, Campton, Parker, Tilden, Boden, and Sidonie; and brothers; Doug Forbis and Michael Forbis.

Visitation will be Tuesday, November 27, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service for Mrs. Leonard will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Afterwards, Mrs. Leonard will be laid to rest in Andersonville National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Mrs. Leonard to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or Shriners Children’s Hospital, 950 West Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29605.
