Sheri Mittag Banks

Sheri Ann Banks, loving wife, mother, and daughter, entered into eternal rest on the morning of Wednesday, January 24, 2018. She was 43 years old.

Sheri was born on April 9, 1974 in Houston, Texas and was of the Christian faith. A 1994 graduate of Riviera High School in Riviera, Texas, Sheri lived most of her life in Texas. She moved to Warner Robins 13 years ago where she met and married her husband, Gary Howard Banks. Sheri retired from Parts Central in Macon. In her free time, she enjoyed needle point, working on Sudoku puzzles, shopping for antiques, and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her son, Jonathan Banks; her mother, Julie Mittag; and her sister, Vickie Mittag.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her loving husband of 10 years, Gary Banks of Warner Robins; daughters, Jessie Whitehead (Joel) of Macon, Jenny Gunn (Ryan) of Centerville, and Kellie Morgan (James) of Warner Robins; granddaughter, Madelyn Morgan; and father and stepmother, Raymond and Bobby Mittag of Riviera, Texas.

Visitation will be Friday, January 26, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 27, 2018 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Sheri will be laid to rest in a graveside service at Riviera Cemetery in Riviera, Texas at 01:00 p.m. CST on Tuesday, January 30, 2018.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Sheri Ann Banks to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, to the American Cancer Society, 804 Cherry Street, Suite A, Macon, GA 31201, or to Riviera Scholarship Foundation, P.O. Box 96, Riviera, Texas 78379.
