Sherman A. Morgan

Sherman A. Morgan, 79, passed away on Thursday, September 29, 2005 at Houston Medical Center. Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 1, 2005 at First Baptist Church of Centerville with interment following in Centerville City Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, September 30, 2005 from 7 until 9 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to First Baptist Church of Centerville, 108 East Church Street, Centerville, Georgia 31028.

Mr. Sherman was born in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Centerville. He retired from Civil Service at Robins Air Force Base and proudly served in the United States Air Force during World War II. His first wife of fifty-seven years Frances P. Morgan and second wife of three years Virginia Morgan; and his parents, Albert and Effie Morgan, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his sons, Donald L. Morgan (Pam), Athens, Alabama; James M. Morgan, Centerville; Fred R. Morgan, Centerville; daughter, Dianne Morgan, Atlanta; brother, Jack P. Morgan, Milledgeville; and five grandchildren
