Sherry J. Morrone

Sherry J. Morrone, 65, entered into rest on Thursday, August 9, 2018.

Sherry was born on June 13, 1953 in Macon, Georgia to the late Eugene and Helen Faye Johnson Tanner. She graduated from Northside High School and worked for a number of years at McGlamry Properties. Sherry loved baking, catering, family get-togethers, traveling, and time spent with friends. The memory of her friendly smile and kind personality will be carried in the hearts of all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, Sherry was also preceded in death by her stepmother, Naomi Tanner; sister, Gail Gainey; and Charlie’s son, Steffan McGlamry.

She leaves behind her loving son, Jason Shane Morrone (Jennifer) of Fort Valley; grandchildren, Brooke and Macy Morrone, Chance and Courtney Newton, and Saybra, Steffan, and Trey McGlamry; siblings, David Ford (Diane) of Macon, Debbie Lashley of Kathleen, Marty Smith (Mary) of Covington, Wesley Tanner (Shirley) of Bonaire, Sandy Smith (Greg) of Byron, Diane Bridges of Perry, and Gina Hughes (Bill) of Kathleen; and her beloved companion of 36 years, Charlie McGlamry and his children, Gina Lucas (Harry) of Warner Robins and Lisa Newton (Keith) of Centerville.

Visitation will be Monday, August 13, 2018, from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. After the service, Sherry will be laid to rest in Parkway Memorial Gardens.

The family will accept flowers or memorial donations may be given in memory of Sherry to Southside Baptist Church, 1040 S. Houston Lake Rd., Warner Robins, GA 31088.
