Sherry Lynn Abney

Sherry Abney, 50, entered into rest on Friday, September 1, 2017.

Sherry was born on March 18, 1967 in Los Angeles, California. She attended Northside High School where she graduated with the class of 1988. Following high school, Sherry served her country in the United States Army. Reading, watching wrestling and ice cream were among her favorite things but her family and grandchildren held her heart.

Her father, Clyde S. Cowan, preceded her in death.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her husband, Jeffery S. Abney; children, Brandy Nicole Cowan of Centerville, Christina Capaldi of Salem, Ohio, Randall Abney and Tanya Rackley, both of Macon; seven grandchildren; mother, Barbara Cowan, sister, Candy Sietsema (Greg), both of Centerville and many nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Gathering will be held Friday, September 8, 2017, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home.

McCullough Funeral Home and Crematory has the privilege of being entrusted with Mrs. Abney's arrangements.
