Shirley G. Baker

On the evening of Tuesday, January 13, 2015, Shirley G. Baker passed away at the age of 68.

Shirley was born on November 23, 1946 in Waycross, Georgia to the late James T. and Mary Courson Daniels. A resident of Houston County for the past 20 years, she worked as an inventory specialist for ASIC Contracting at Robins Air Force Base. Shirley enjoyed reading, loved baking wedding cakes and painting, but loved her family most of all.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her loving children, Larry Peacock, Jr. (Judy) of Pineview, Dinah Kay Smith (Geoff) of Addison, New York, Jaylyn Peacock Vollmer of Warner Robins, Heather Peacock Tyler (Rob) of Corning, New York, Matthew Baker (Leigh) of Gulf Breeze, Florida; stepdaughter, Jesica Ledford of Warner Robins; 19 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and devoted companion, Kim Ledford of Warner Robins.

Visitation will be Friday, January 16, 2015, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A graveside funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in Pulaski-Bleckley Memorial Gardens in Cochran with Reverend Todd Shearin officiating.
