SMSgt. Connie Ann Collier, USAF (Ret.) passed from this earth on Monday, July 26, 2021 after a brief illness. She was 58 years old.
Born in Buffalo, New York, Ms. Collier was a former AirCrew Life Support Specialist on multiple platforms during her 29 year United States Air Force career. She served her country proudly, earning the rank of Senior Master Sergeant. After her military career, Ms. Collier enjoyed caring for others, working as an attendant for Rescare. She was also a doting grandmother, loving mother, and devoted friend. She was an avid reader and could often be found with a cup of coffee in her hand.
Left to treasure Ms. Collier’s memory are her daughter, Carol Weitzel (Anthony) of Warner Robins; granddaughter, Freya Weitzel of Warner Robins; sister, Veronica Hricik (George) of Wisconsin; and her best friend, Chay Moore of Byron.
A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, July 29, 2021 at McCullough Funeral Home Chapel. She will be laid to rest privately. Ms. Collier’s family asks that all attendees wear purple, Ms. Collier’s favorite color, in her honor.
