Som Nola Paradis

On the morning of Monday, June 18, 2018, Som Nola Paradis entered into rest at The Lodge. She was 64 years old.

Som was born in Chiang Rai, Thailand on October 5, 1953, the daughter of the late Sie and Lie Nola. Growing up in Thailand, she worked on a rice farm until May of 1974 when she married her husband, Richard, who was in the Air Force. Shortly after marrying, Som moved with Richard back to the United States. She happily moved around the United States with Richard’s Air Force career for 20 years. Som was a devoted military wife, wonderful mother to two sons, and lovely homemaker. Subsequent to Richard’s military retirement, he and Som settled in Warner Robins where they both worked on Robins Air Force Base. Som worked in food service there for 13 years.

In her free time, she loved working in the vegetable garden and with her persimmon tree. Som also had a sweet spot for her springer spaniel and poodle. She will be fondly remembered as a very kind and caring lady who always loved helping people.

Som leaves her memory behind with her loving husband of 45 years, Richard F. Paradis of Warner Robins; sons, Richard Paradis, Jr. (Becky) of Southaven, Mississippi and Charles R. Paradis of Warner Robins; grandchildren, Madison, Dakota, Kaitlyn, Savannah and Ava Paradis; and siblings, Marie Intanah, Pon Tariya, Pattanapong Nola, and Mayulee Bofto.

Visitation will be Wednesday, June 20, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home.

The family will accept flowers or donations may be given in memory of Mrs. Paradis to the Salvation Army, 1955 Broadway, Macon, GA 31206.

McCullough Funeral Home and Crematory has the privilege of being entrusted with Mrs. Paradis’ arrangements.
