Sophie M. Lee

Sophie M. Lee, 57, of Warner Robins, entered into rest on Saturday, July 18th, 2020, after a battle with Pancreatic Cancer.

Sophie was born on December 15, 1962, in Brussels, Belgium. Sophie graduated from McArthur High School in Hollywood, FL. Many years later, she relocated to Warner Robins, GA to raise her children, Taby and Bryan. Over the years, she worked in advertising for various Georgia Newspapers, but her primary vocation was as an office manager and bookkeeper for Mark Byrd and Company for 20+ years. In recent years, she moved to Dallas, TX to work in the oil and gas industry until 2019.

Sophie was a wise, bright and vivacious person whose kind words and encouraging spirit were helpful to many. She was a loyal friend, loving mother, sister, aunt, and proud ‘Phee Phee’ to her grandchildren. One thing she would always say is “Treat your friends like family, and your family like friends” - anyone who knew her could attest that she did just that. She loved her children more than anything and was an amazing mother. She treasured her time with her grandchildren, watching them grow and helping them learn. She will be greatly missed and her memory will be forever cherished.

Her father, Bela Lazar, preceded in her death. She is survived by her two children, Taby Eaton (Jeremy) and Bryan Lee (Ana); her grandchildren, Tessa Eaton, Jackson Eaton, Cooper Eaton, and Amelia Lee; her sister, Danielle Cotton (Roger); her nieces, Hannah and Leah; and her nephews, Micah and Keith (Emily).

Visitation will be Thursday, July 23th, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A memorial service celebrating her life will follow at 12:00 p.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. At the family’s request, the burial will be private. During these times and for the safety of everyone in attendance, social distance measures will be enforced. Guests will be guided to remain 6 feet apart, masks are strongly encouraged, and hand-shaking and touching is discouraged.
