Ssgt. Westley Hodge Mcelroy, Usaf (Ret.)

SSgt Westley Hodge McElroy passed away Wednesday, December 25, 2002 at Houston Medical Center. Services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, December 28 in the Chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Visitation will also be held on Saturday beginning one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be in Lay Cemetery in Miflin, Alabama.

Born in Eros, Louisiana, SSgt McElroy was retired from the United States Air Force and was a veteran of World War II, the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War. He retired from Civil Service at Robins Air Force Base after 32 years of service. His wife, Velma McElroy, and parents, Andrew D. and Maude E. McElroy, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his son, Westley MacElroy, Jacksonville, FL; daughter, Karen McElroy, Warner Robins; son, Mark McElroy, Warner Robins; brother, Elton McElroy, Cocoa Beach, FL; and two grandchildren.

McCullough Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
