Stephen Andrew Kutay

Stephen Andrew Kutay, 93, our loving husband and father, was called home to His Lord and died peacefully surrounded by his family at home on Friday, August 2, 2013.

Stephen was born on August 28, 1919, in Lansford, Pennsylvania. He was an active member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church since 1965 serving in the roles of Communion Minister, CCD Instructor and Folk Choir Member. He particularly enjoyed entertaining as Santa Claus during the holiday seasons. He was a 4th Degree Knight of the Knights of Columbus. Stephen served his country during WWII in the United States Navy. He then went onto a career in civil service working thirty years as a helicopter production manager at Robins Air Force Base. After retirement, he worked twenty years as maintenance director for Sacred Heart Catholic Church and School where he was better known as "Mini Wheat". He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Emilia Kutay, sisters, Diane Ferency, Mary Sweat, Helen Lesko and Florence Walsh, brother, John Kutay and son, Ronald Stephen Kutay.

His memory will forever be treasured by his wife of sixty-seven years, Ann Bubak Kutay, children, Judy Wozniak (Roger), Warner Robins, Larry Kutay (Glenda), Centerville, Janet Leverett (Steve), Macon, Andrea Nygaard (Thor), Danville, California, Tommy Kutay (Susan), Warner Robins, Mark Kutay (Stephanie), Centerville, and Stephanie Hall (John), Centerville, 17 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Rosary/Visitation will be Sunday, August 4, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 5, 2013 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with interment following in Magnolia Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations to Sacred Heart Building Fund, 300 S. Davis Drive, Warner Robins, GA, 31088.

The entire family would like to thank his current care givers, Michelle, Jo, Rhonda, Mae, Dianne and all of his previous care givers who took exceptional and loving care of him.
