Stephen James Rice

Stephen James Rice, 21, passed away on Thursday, September 9, 2004 at Houston Medical Center. Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, September 11, at the Chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Parkway Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Friday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 at McCullough Funeral Home.

Born May 1983 in Macon, Stephen graduated from Northside High School in 2001. He was a pitcher for the Northside baseball team and played on the National Little League team. Stephen was a member of the Air Force Reserve and part owner at Georgia Bob’s Bar-B-Q. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, James Hicks and Charles Eisman.

Survivors include his parents David and Patty H. Rice; sister, Christina Rice Hanselman (Daniel), Crawford County; brother, Aaron Rice, Warner Robins; grandmother, Dorothy Hicks, Orlando, FL; grandfather, David Rice, Van Nuys, CA; grandmother, Shirley Eisman, Macon; aunt, Lisa Poff, Warner Robins; uncle, Joe Hicks, Blue Ridge, GA; and a number of cousins.
