Steven H. Garrard

Steven H. Garrard, 68, entered into rest on Thursday, June 5, 2008.

Mr. Garrard was born on December 25, 1939 in Jasper, Alabama. He graduated with honors from Walker County High School, where he was the star quarterback for the state championship football team. He was involved in all facets of sports and excelled in them all, and was inducted into the Walker County High School Hall of Fame in 2007. He attended Huntington College, Montgomery, Alabama, and was a graduate of the Louisiana State University School of Banking.

Living in the Warner Robins-Macon area for the last forty-eight years, he has held several managerial positions in the financing and banking industry, most recently as the Executive Senior Vice President of C B & T Bank of Middle Georgia. He was very dedicated to helping all of his clients to the best of his abilities. He was active in serving the community through numerous civic organizations over the years. He was an avid University of Alabama fan. Most of all, he was a loving and dedicated husband, father, and grandfather. His parents, W. Hollis and Dorothy N. Garrard, and brother, Jerry Garrard, preceded him in death.

His memory will be forever treasured by his wife, Patsy L. Garrard, Macon; sons, Gary Garrard (Sheri), Warner Robins , Chris Garrard, Florida, and Randy Couch (Imogene), Macon; daughter, Angie Freeman (Chris), Macon; brothers, Sammy Garrard and Chuck Garrard, Alabama; grandchildren, Kaitlin, Jessica, Christopher, Cole, Casie, Mickensie, and Jake; several nieces and nephews and a host of family and friends.

Visitation will be Saturday, June 7, 2008 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 8, 2008 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to American Cancer Society, 804 Cherry Street, Suite A, Macon, GA 31201.
