Steven “Steve” Ray Belcher

January 1, 1952 — December 22, 2020

Steven “Steve” Ray Belcher, also known to many as “Big Guy,” passed away at Navicent Health in Macon, Georgia.

On New Year’s Day in 1952, Steve was born in Princeton, West Virginia, to the late Jack and Lena Crotty Belcher. Steve grew up in Dayton, Ohio, and earned his Bachelors of Science and Engineering Degree from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio, in 1974. He first met his wife, Michele Lynn Jenkins, in Tennessee, and then moved to Indiana where they were married. Together, they settled in Byron, Georgia. Steve worked for Stantec Consulting Services of Edmonton, Canada, for over 20 years before starting his own company as a Project Manager in water and waste management. In his spare time, Steve loved to target and cowboy shoot. He also enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle.

In addition to his parents, Steve was preceded in death by his siblings, Pete Belcher, Jeannette Leaker, and Terri Lynn Belcher.

Left to cherish his memories is his wife Michele Lynn Jenkins of 39 years; siblings, Judy Adams (Logan) and Diana Dunlap (Jack) all of Dayton, Ohio.

Public services will not be held at this time due to Covid-19. A memorial service celebrating the life of Mr. Belcher will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Steven “Steve” Ray Belcher to American Cancer Society, 804 Cherry St., Macon, Georgia, 30033.

McCullough Funeral Home and Crematory has the privilege of being entrusted with these arrangements.
