April 2, 1939 — May 1, 2021

Sylvia Ann Slocum, 82, went to be with her Lord and savior on May 1, 2021, at her residence in Warner Robins.

For many years, Sylvia was a member of the Sweet Adeline Choir Group. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were the light of her life. Her upbeat personality made people gravitate toward her. Sylvia and her late husband, Carlton, were longtime owners of Giant Foods.

Sylvia was the widow of the late Carlton H. Slocum, to whom she was married for 55 years until his passing in 2013. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, Willard and Anna Hobbs and sister, Alice Gilleran. She was born on April 2, 1939, in Thompson, Pennsylvania.
