Tsgt. David P. Lynch, Usaf (Ret.)

November 10, 1939 — January 25, 2022

A Vietnam War veteran and doting grandfather, TSgt. David P. Lynch, USAF (Ret.) went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Tuesday, January 25, 2022. He was 82 years old.

Born on November 10, 1939, in Cookeville, Tennessee, Mr. Lynch was the son of the late James Lynch and Nancy Ramsey Lynch Hauser. Enlisted in the United States Air Force, he served as an Air Traffic Control Technician and Specialist, retiring with the rank of Technical Sergeant. After his time in the military, Mr. Lynch owned a business called Dublin Amusement.
A heart transplant recipient, Mr. Lynch was an active supporter of Lifelink. He enjoyed helping others and volunteered at Oakland Baptist Church. An avid and talented bowler, Mr. Lynch joined six different leagues at one time. He also loved playing all kinds of games, especially cards, baseball, and video games. He was a lifelong, St. Louis Cardinals fan. Mr. Lynch had a passion for traveling and got to visit many wonderful places throughout his lifetime. Most of all, he was a family man and loved all of his “babies.”

In addition to his parents, Mr. Lynch was preceded in death by his stepfather, Harold Hauser; four brothers and three sisters.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Betty Lynch; son, David Harold Lynch and daughter-in-law, Deborah A. Lynch; grandchildren, David Christopher Lynch (Sara), Brandon James Lynch (Aleesha); great-grandchildren, Joe, Jacen, and Jaina; as well as beloved several nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.

Visitation will be Friday, January 28, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will immediately follow at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Afterward, TSgt. David P. Lynch, USAF (Ret.) will be laid to rest in Parkway Memorial Gardens. For friends unable to attend at this time, the service will be streamed live via the McCullough Funeral Home Facebook page at www.facebook.com/mcculloughfuneralhome/live/.

The family will accept flowers or donations may be given in memory of TSgt. David P. Lynch, USAF (Ret.) to the Oakland Baptist Church Building Fund, 1509 Russell Parkway, Warner Robins, Georgia 31088.
