Gilbert ''Hank'' Sowash, 78, entered into rest on Wednesday, July 25, 2012.

Hank was born on May 15, 1934 in Mount Pleasant, Pennsylvania. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from which he retired with the rank of Tech Sergeant and was also a talented amateur photographer. Hank was a devoted member of Green Acres Baptist Church and will be dearly missed by all who knew him. His parents, Mathias Edwin Sowash and Ruth Rush Sowash, preceded him in death.

His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of fifty-four years, Patricia Ann Sowash, Macon; daughters, Tanya Sowash, Macon; Tammy Sowash Daniel (Michael), Byron; grandchildren, Rebekah, Rachel, and Luke Daniel; and brothers, Edwin Sowash, Jr. and Phillip Sowash, both of Greensburg, Pennsylvania.

Visitation will be Sunday, July 29, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, July 30, 2012 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that donations be made to Serenity Hospice, 1057 N. Houston Rd, Warner Robins, GA 31088.
