Tsgt. Glicita Jean Zelenak

November 8, 1955 — July 8, 2018

Glicita Jean Zelenak, 62, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, July 8, 2018.

Born on November 8, 1955 in Honolulu, Hawaii, Glicita was the daughter of Adrianna Supnet and the late Michael Jesus Estaur Mananquil. She joined the United States Air Force in the spring of 1977 and for 20 years, served her country with honor and courage. Glicita bravely supported Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm before retiring with the rank of Tech Sergeant in 1997. In her military retirement, she enjoyed working as a massage therapist and thoroughly enjoyed traveling with family and friends, especially on cruises and trips to Disney World. Glicita was also a member of Middle Georgia ACTS and Cursillo. Her strong and heartfelt hugs always left a lasting impression on everyone she embraced and the feeling will forever live in their memories.

She leaves her memory behind with her devoted husband of 39 years, Mike Zelenak of Kathleen; children, Kris Zelenak (Amy) of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Ashlea Stringfellow (Ryan) of Bonaire; grandchildren, Alexandria Zelenak, and Jacob, Audrey, and Damian Stringfellow; mother, Adrianna Supnet Mananquil of Honolulu, Hawaii; and siblings, Anita Mananquil of Arizona, Mona Sagisi (Pedro) of California, and Michel Mananquil of Hawaii.

A Rosary will be Friday, July 13, 2018, at 6:00 p.m. with visitation following until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at St. Patrick Catholic Church with Father Eric Filmer officiating.
