Tsgt. Wilburn Earl Hill, Usaf (Ret.)

Wilburn "Will" Hill, 86, passed away on Thursday, February 26, 2015.

Mr. Hill was born on October 24, 1928 in Marblehill, Georgia to the late Earl and Ollie Hill. He was raised in Canton, Georgia until enlisting in the United States Air Force. Mr. Hill proudly served his country for twenty years with tours at Holloman AFB, Wright-Patterson AFB, England, Johnson Island, and Okinawa. Upon retirement from the Air Force he and his family returned to Georgia where he worked in computers at Robins AFB and Sperry Univac. After retiring as a contractor, he moved to Danville, Georgia where he pursued his hobbies of hunting and gardening.

In addition to his parents; first wife, Clara Alberta Hill; and sisters, Velma Hill and Helen Weaver, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Mae Calloway-Hill of Warner Robins; son, Steven Hill (Lorraine) of Athens; daughter, Joyce Groves of Warner Robins; grandchildren, David Groves (Kelly) of Wyoming, Michigan, Joseph Hill of Lawrenceville, Benjamin Hill of Athens; step-children, Franki Hodge (David) of Warner Robins, Susan Wells (Steve) of Reidsville, North Carolina; three step-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren; sisters, Hazel Mauldin of Canton, Mildred Atkins of Ball Ground, Earline Sweat of Canton; and brother, Milford Hill of Canton.

Visitation will be Monday, March 2, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 2, 2015 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with private interment at Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Reverend Matthew Stewart will officiate.
