Tsgt. William E. Hyslip, Usaf (Ret.)

November 22, 1930 — November 30, 2021

TSgt. William E. “Bill” Hyslip, USAF (Ret.) went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, November 30, 2021. He was 91 years old when he met Jesus.

Bill was born in Smithville, Arkansas, and joined the United States Navy shortly after high school. He spent 10 years in the Navy before transferring to the Air Force where he served for 11 years. After his service to his country, Bill worked in civil service at Robins Air Force Base as a safety specialist. An avid outdoorsman, Bill also loved music and was a talented harmonica player. He was an active member of the Woodmen of the World, National Active and Retired Federal Employees, and AARP.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis and Susie Hyslip; and his first wife, Jeannette Paquin Hyslip, to whom he was married for 62 years.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of five years, Pearl Hyslip; daughter, Denise Bryant of Bonaire; sons, Steven Hyslip of Chamblee, Georgia, and David Hyslip (Jena) of Benton, Tennessee; granddaughters, Jennifer Bryant and Susie Bryant of Florida; and sister, Betty Wiley of Missouri as well as several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to noon on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at McCullough Funeral Home. His funeral service will be held immediately after his visitation in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Bill will be laid to rest at Magnolia Park Cemetery with full military honors. Pastor Paul Cowles will officiate. For friends unable to attend at this time, the service will be streamed live via the McCullough Funeral Home Facebook page at www.facebook.com/mcculloughfuneralhome/live/.

The family will accept flowers or donations may be made in William Hyslip’s memory to the Friendship Baptist Church Building Fund, 1322 Feagin Mill Road, Warner Robins, GA 31088.
