Tsgt William Henry Lunsford, Usaf (Ret.)

TSgt William Henry Lunsford, USAF (Ret.), 88, passed away on Monday, November 2, 2015.

William was born on July 25, 1927 in Talking Rock, Georgia to the late Joseph and Ruth Kirby Lunsford. It was with great honor and pride that he enlisted in the United States Air Force. During his Air Force career William served in World War II, the Korean Conflict, and the Vietnam War. After many honorable years of service he retired from the Air Force with the rank of Tech Sergeant. William then proceeded to open and operate the Jasper OTASCO store and became a member of the Jasper, Georgia Masonic Lodge. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and above all else, he treasured time spent with his beloved family.

His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife 70 years, Virginia Evans Lunsford of Warner Robins; daughters, Ann Gregory (Howard) of Kathleen, Sue Roman (Jesse) of Hampton, Virginia; along with his grandchildren, Suzanne Gregory, Angela Carrillo, Keeley Weeks, Tamara Perez, Hiram LeGrand, and Erika Robertson.

Memorial Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 7, 2015 in Magnolia Park Cemetery. In recognition of TSgt Lunsford's service to his country, the rendering of full military honors will conclude the service.
