Tsgt.Ray Edward Summers Usaf (Ret.)

Ray Summers, 80, entered into the loving arms of the Lord on Thursday, January 22, 2015.

Ray was born on July 4, 1934 in Chester, South Carolina to the late James Edward "J.E." and Lottie Schultz Summers. After graduating from high school, he entered the United States Air Force where he proudly served his country for 23 years, retiring with the rank of Tech Sergeant. Ray then went to work as an Electronics Mechanic on Robins Air Force Base, he retired after 25 years of civil service. Ray became a member of Southside Baptist Church in 1999, and he adored his church and church family. He was a true American who loved his country, people—especially children—and above all, his family.

His sister, Juanita Marinelli, preceded him in death.

Ray's memory will forever be treasured by his adoring wife of 20 years, Kathy Summers; daughter, Kathy Willoughby of Warner Robins; son, Jimmy Grant (Cathy) of Milledgeville; grandchildren, Mandy Stella (Joey), Brandi Goodrich, Judy Jordan (Bo), and Dustin Grant; and great grandchildren, Tyler, Tanyon, Talon, Will, Kaylee, Jayden, Michael, and Abigail.

Visitation will be Sunday, January 25, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 26, 2015 at Southside Baptist Church with interment following in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
