Tamae "Johnnie" Parrish

Tamae "Johnnie" Parrish, 88, passed away on Wednesday, June 08, 2022, at the Heart of Georgia Hospice Center in Perry, Georgia.

Mrs. Parrish was born on March 18, 1934, in Ibaraki, Japan. She was the wife of a career soldier, MSgt. Leon Parrish, USAF (Ret.). They got married in Tokyo, Japan, at the American Embassy in 1956. They were married for fifty-two years before Mr. Parrish’s passing in 2007.

Johnnie enjoyed going shopping and out to eat with very close friends, Terry Peters, Jackie Noll, and Ayako Kendall. She also loved working in her yard, doing word search puzzles, and arranging flowers. She is survived by her sister, Eiko Suzuki, of Tokyo, Japan; brother, Kazuo Suzuki (Sachiko) of Chiba Ken, Japan; and several nieces and nephews.

At the family’s request, services will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Heart of Georgia Hospice, 103 Westridge Dr., Warner Robins, GA 31088.
