Teresa Gammage

Teresa Gammage, 59, entered into rest on Tuesday, January 17, 2023.

Teresa was born on August 5, 1963, in Warner Robins, Georgia. In her early years, Teresa attended Warner Robins High School where she was a talent contest winner for singing “Lizzy and The Rain Man”. She went on to hold several interesting jobs, including a salesperson for Liberty Toyota, owning her own fruit stand, and working for her dad, Talmadge, for ten years before finally retiring from Robins Air Force Base as a plumber. Teresa was kind and loving to a fault; she’d give anything she could to those she cared about. She enjoyed spoiling her family, but particularly her grandkids with candy and ice cream. She was an incredibly hard worker, but she always made time for gardening and making ceramics. Growing up, she attended Shirley Hills Baptist Church where she also volunteered her time and talent to the choir.

Teresa was preceded in death by her father, Talmadge Segars, and her sister, Angie Segars Gandy. Her memory will forever be treasured by her husband, Mark Helms; children, Christopher Segars (Lindsay) and Christan Pickett (Steve); grandchildren, Hallie Hershberger, Joseph Hershberger, Haley Pickett, Kenady Pickett, Christian Thacker, and Caleb Thacker; mother and stepfather, Ernestine and Roger Brooks; sisters, Robin Smith (Mike), and Tammie Segars (Gary Thomas), and Lynn Owens (Steven).

Visitation will be Friday, January 20, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will immediately follow at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Afterward, Teresa will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
