Thelma L. Hinckley, 75, joined her belated husband of 50 years, John S. Hinckley in heaven on Wednesday, October 11, 2017.

Thelma was born in Columbus, Georgia to the late Ross F. and Dorothy L. Pinson Daniel. She retired as a senior financial analyst from BAE Systems at Robins Air Force Base. A devoted Christian woman who loved God and family, Thelma enjoyed attending The Assembly at Warner Robins. She was a “giver” who loved helping others and was always a positive influence and role model to many. Sewing and crafts were her favorite pastimes. Thelma will be remembered by all who knew her as a devoted and loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend.

In addition to her husband and parents, Thelma was also preceded in death by her daughter, Angel Downs and her sister, Faye Burton.

Thelma leaves her memory behind with her daughters, Janice Hurt (Michael), Susan Bloodworth (Keith), and Melanie White (John); grandchildren, Christina and Charles Phelps, Ashley Pope, Dalton Melvin, Trenton and Hunter White, and Jonathan, Steven, and Ethan Hurt; 10 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Maggie Burchell and Mildred Cavaco.

A memorial service will be celebrated at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at Southside Baptist Church with Rev. Randall Nash officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. Thelma will be laid to rest in Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Milledgeville at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Thelma L. Hinckley to Serenity Hospice, 1057 N. Houston Rd., Warner Robins, GA 31093 or to Southside Missions, 1040 S. Houston Lake Rd., Warner Robins, GA 31088, https://www.shelbygiving.com.
