Thomas P. Eaton, Jr.

Thomas P. Eaton, Jr., 71, of Kathleen, Georgia, died peacefully on Friday, March 16, 2007 at his residence. He was a member of Central Baptist Church where services will be held on Tuesday, March 20, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. Dr. H. Owen Bozeman and Rev. Sydney Odom will be officiating. Viewing will be held at McCullough Funeral Home on Monday, March 19, 2007 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Tom was a member of the Jeanette Watson/Fred Smelt Sunday School Class. Mr. Eaton, son of the late Thomas P. Eaton, Sr., and the late Pauline Burt Eaton was born June 17, 1935 in Grand Prairie, Texas. He grew up and graduated from Arlington High School and the University of Texas at Arlington. He is predeceased by his sister-in-law Maurine Lee of Warner Robins, Georgia.

Mr. Eaton had lived in Houston County, Georgia since 1975. Tom was an avid golfer and was a member of Houston Lake Country Club, Ga. Senior Golf, Middle Ga. Seniors and Dixie Seniors. He was a homebuilder and local businessman, serving as President of the Homebuilders Association of Houston County in 1978-79, and again in 1983-1984.

Survivors include his wife of thirty nine and a half years, Juanita Lee Eaton, sons Mark Eaton (Melody) of Washington, D.C., Thomas P. Eaton III (Missy) of Garland, TX and Michael Eaton of Los Angeles, CA; daughter Vicki E. Brogan (Gary) Austin, TX; brothers David B. Eaton, Sr., Arlington, TX and Paul R. Eaton (Kathie) Hurst-Euless, TX; mother-in-law Lois S. Lee of Kathleen, brother-in-law, Ed Lee (Elaine) of Warner Robins, and dear friend and cousin, Dr. James H. Creel (Linda), of Chattanooga, TN.

Pallbearers will be Andy Grisham, Eddie Matthews, Gene Gay, Ben Massingille, Al Carter and Carlton Driskell.
