Thomas "Tommy" Rowley

October 17, 1955 — February 6, 2018

On the afternoon of Tuesday, February 6, 2018, Tommy Rowley passed away unexpectedly, and far too soon. He was only 62 years of age.

Tommy was born on October 17, 1955 in Darmstadt, Germany to the late Capt. Clayton (USAF) and Marjorie Rowley. He grew up traveling the world at an early age, as his father was an active duty U.S. Air Force service member. The family eventually settled in Warner Robins where Tommy attended high school. Immediately afterwards he joined the United States Army, where he was trained in the operation of semi-trucks and heavy equipment; an opportunity that enabled him to travel every state. After serving his country, Tommy furthered his career driving for Smithway Motor Express Trucking Company, then later for Frito-Lay, and most recently for Crete Carrier Corporation. He was also an instructor at Central Georgia Technical College where he taught CDL Truck Driving and frequently trained new drivers for Crete Carrier Corp. He received multiple awards for safe driving, including several recognitions for achieving Million Mile Award status during his driving career. He loved music – especially any and everything to do with the Beatles! Tommy was an avid sports fan with his favorites being the Atlanta Braves and the Miami Dolphins. Grace Fellowship was his church home.

In addition to his parents, Tommy was preceded in death by his step-daughter, April Bell.

His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of 12 years, Rhonda Rowley; children, Melissa Collins (Casey) of Haughton, Louisiana and Kevin McAllister (Dawna) of Albuquerque, New Mexico; step-daughter, Brandi Bell of Byron; grandchildren, Clayton and Allison Collins, Corey Harrak, Cierra and Conner Bell, and Savannah and Hannah Bell. His sister Kathy Berryhill (Gary), of Warner Robins; niece, Chelsie Berryhill, nephew, Clay Berryhill; and many cousins, aunts, and uncles throughout the United States also survive him.

At 3:00 p.m. on Monday, February 12, 2018, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home, family and friends will gather for a memorial service to remember, celebrate, and honor the full and well-lived life of Tommy Rowley. Pastor Bruce Brookshire will officiate the service.

Flowers will be gratefully accepted, however if memorial donations are preferred the family respectfully suggests they be made in memory of Tommy Rowley to Grace Fellowship Church, 303 Westcliff Circle, Warner Robins, Georgia, 31093.
