Thurl I. Smith

Thurl I. Smith, 69, died Friday, January 25 as a result of a long term illness. He died at his residence. Services will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, January 28 at All Saints Episcopal Church with interment following in the Murphy Cemetery in Murphy GA at 3:00pm. Visitation will be Sunday from 7:00 until 9:00 pm at McCullough Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Hospice of Houston County, 2066 Watson Blvd., Warner Robins, GA, 31093.

Mr. Smith was born in Moultrie, GA. He was retired from Civil Service at Robins Air Force Base and was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church in Warner Robins. His brother, Harold Duncan, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Betty H. Smith; mother, Blanche D. Roache, Murphy, GA; father, Gerue Smith, Tampa, FL; sons, Thomas I. Smith, Brunswick; Michael A. Smith, Atlanta; brother, Larry Smith, Tampa, FL; and one granddaughter.
