Timothy J. Foshee

August 9, 1965 — April 11, 2015

Timothy J. Foshee, 49, of Kathleen, Georgia passed away at home on Saturday, April 11, 2015.

Tim was born on August 9, 1965 in Ankara, Turkey to James and Elizabeth Foshee while James was serving in the U.S. Armed Forces. Tim was the youngest of five siblings. After returning to the United States, the family settled in Warner Robins, Georgia where Tim completed high school and started college before joining the U.S. Air Force. Tim served honorably for ten years, including a tour of duty in Saudi Arabia during the Gulf War.

After being discharged from the service, Tim met and married Jan McCord and the two settled in Kathleen, Georgia. Tim worked as a web developer and it was during this time that he fulfilled a life-long goal of completing his Bachelor's Degree at Macon State College.

Tim was a devoted husband and enjoyed camping, hiking, jet skiing, and SCUBA diving with his wife Jan, even attaining advanced diver certification. Tim was also an active member of his community. After obtaining his amateur radio license, he participated in community-wide disaster preparation drills.

Tim was a born-again believer in Jesus Christ and was a man who tried daily to live a life that gave glory to God. He and Jan opened their home to those in need; he would drop everything to help a friend, and he lived every day knowing that his life was only a foreshadowing of greater things to come. Even in death Tim would want to glorify God. He would want everyone to experience the forgiveness of sins and hope of salvation that come from knowing Christ as Savior. Mostly, he would want every reader to know that Jesus will meet you where you are – His grace is sufficient.

Tim is survived by his wife, Jan Foshee of Kathleen, Georgia; mother, Elizabeth Foshee of Warner Robins, Georgia; brother, Jim Foshee of Warner Robins, Georgia; sisters, Elizabeth "Libby" Henry of Midland, Texas, Deborah Osborne of Salisbury, North Carolina and Amanda Edge of Warner Robins, Georgia. Tim is preceded in death by his father, James Foshee.
