Timothy Lee Gann

October 26, 1961 — December 5, 2017

On the morning of Tuesday, December 5, 2017, Tim Gann, 56, joined his brother Tony, father Ray, and son Randell in heaven.

Tim was born on October 26, 1961 in Riverdale, Georgia to Ruby Gann (Kelley) and the late Ray Gann. A proud retired decorated Air Force veteran, he served for 30 years including time during the Iraq Wars. Tim was awarded the Good Conduct, Meritorious, and several commendation medals during his service. His work is forever cemented in the planning of the sidewalks and streets on the United States Air Force Academy while he was stationed there so his daughters had proper sidewalk access to walk to school. Tim worked in civil service at Robins Air Force Base and loved the outdoors. He never let another person down and fulfilled every obligation he ever undertook. His word was his bond and he could always be counted on as the rock for his family. Over his life, Tim gave much of himself to his country and his family selflessly. He was devoted to his wife, Wanda Gale Gann (Cook) for 31 years and leaves her with cherished memories to last infinite lifetimes. He described their love for one another as “just plain magic”. Tim enjoyed spending his weekends with his best friend and sister, Rhonda Gann, beloved mother Ruby, and Uncle George Kelley at Lake Jackson boating and fishing.

His memory will forever be treasured by his daughters, April Ennis of Warner Robins, Crystal Gann -Mitchell of Atlanta, and Michelle Duren (Josh) of Macon. He made them into the strong women they are by always being supportive and offering unconditional love. He was a proud Papa to 3 grandchildren; Malia, Ashton and Jackson of Warner Robins. He will always be remembered in their hearts as a kind, fun, and loving example of a genuinely “good man”.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests you honor Tim by taking a walk on the beach, going fishing, watching a Braves game, or drinking a cold beer (preferably Miller Lite). “Bubba” would have wished the happiness and joy of simple things for everyone in their time of grief at his passing.

A private family memorial will be held to honor his wishes of spreading his ashes over Steinhatchee River, Florida where he had childhood memories fishing with his dad.

McCullough Funeral Home and Crematory has the privilege of being entrusted with Mr. Gann’s arrangements.
