Trey L. Baker

On the afternoon of Wednesday, April 25, 2018, Trey L. Baker, 7 years old, went to be with the Lord in heaven.

Born in Augusta, Georgia on July 12, 2010, Trey was a fun-loving and playful second grader at Parkwood Elementary School. He loved reading and going to school where he always played with the girls’ hair, and absolutely adored his teacher, Tina Jones. Trey had aspirations of being a chef and a basketball player. He enjoyed playing video games, especially “Just Dance” and NBA 2K18 where he knew all of the players’ names. Fruit was his favorite snack, especially strawberries. You could always find him following his dad around. Trey was an overall good kid who loved giving hugs, and telling everyone that he loved them, especially his siblings. He will be so missed by all who knew him.

Trey leaves behind so many who will forever treasure his memory. He is survived by his mother, Latoya Sapp, father, Tad Bernard Baker, and stepfather, Anthony Sapp, Jr., all of Warner Robins; siblings, Tamia, 18, Taliyah, 15, and Laniyah Sapp, 10, Tad Baker, Jr., 8, Zariyah Sapp, 6, and Kaliyah Holmes, 13; grandparents, Cheryl Holt and Charlie Ross, Sharon Jones and Donald Mims, Babette and Andrew Reese and Jacki and Anthony Sapp, Sr.; and a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, teachers, and classmates.

Visitation will be Tuesday, May 1, 2018, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at Fellowship Bible Baptist Church. After the service, Trey will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery.

The family will accept flowers or donations may be given to a memorial fund benefitting Trey’s family. These gifts can be made payable to McCullough Funeral Home with “Trey L. Baker Memorial Fund” written in the memo line.

The family invites friends to join them after the graveside service in the Reid Building of Fellowship Bible Baptist Church, Warner Robins, GA 31093.
