Troy Ronald Murray, Sr., 93, passed away on Monday, August 28, 2006. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 1, at the Open Bible Tabernacle in Lizella, on Sandy Point Road. Burial will follow at 3:30 p.m. at Union Hill Church in Atkinson County. Visitation will be Thursday evening, August 31 from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home.
Mr. Murray was born February 26, 1913 in Millwood, GA. He was a member of Union Hill Church in Atkinson County and attended the Open Bible Tabernacle in Lizella. He worked most of his life in industrial construction and was also a farmer for a short time. His wife, Mary Louise Corbitt Murray, son, T.G. Murray; parents, John Gordon Murray and Alpha Robinson Murray, grandson, Eddy Parrish, and brother, Maurice Murray, all preceded him in death.
Survivors include his children, Carol Parrish (Walter), Centerville; T.R. Murray, Jr. (Pat), Lizella; Ralph Murray (Karen), Macon; Lyn Gaff (Wendell), Perry; Harry Murray (Katherine), Byron; Larry Murray (Pam), Perry; twenty one grandchildren; forty three great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
