Tsgt. Preston Lewis Morgan, Usaf (Ret.)

Retired Air Force Vietnam Veteran, Preston Lewis Morgan, was born on November 5, 1937, and passed away peacefully into the hands of his Lord on the morning of Saturday, January 21, 2023. He was 85 years old.

Preston proudly served his country in the United States Air Force with a stellar career of 20-plus years. He served during the Vietnam Era and was privileged to have visited many countries with his time in the military. Preston retired having attained the rank of Tech Sergeant and went on to continue service to his country for 40 years in Civil Service.

He was extremely smart with electronics and computers and was a ham radio aficionado; he enjoyed being a past President and lifetime member of the Central Georgia Amateur Radio Club. Anyone who knew Preston would agree that he was definitely a character, one who will never be forgotten.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Wes Morgan and Kerry Morgan; one grandchild; his mother, Maddie Morgan; one grandchild; and two brothers.

He is survived by his loving son, Johnny Morgan of Lizella; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Preston’s funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 26, 2023, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with Pastor Jerry Walls officiating. After the service, Preston will be laid to rest next to Shirley in Parkway Memorial Gardens.
