Tsgt. Steven Glenn Mcdonald, Usaf (Ret.)

Steven Glenn McDonald, born on April 30, 1958, in Atlanta, GA, passed away at home on Saturday, June 12, 2021. He was the son of Sandra Terry Jay and the late Edward Richard McDonald.

Soon after graduating high school, Steven enlisted in the United States Air Force where he proudly served his country in Operation Desert Storm. For 20 years, he worked in the military as both an ENT Technician and Jet Engine Mechanic before retiring with the rank of Tech Sergeant. Not content to sit around in his retirement years, Steven went on to pursue several different occupations to keep busy. He enjoyed working at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, he was a certified Kia mechanic, he worked in the construction industry, and he most recently as a mechanic for the U.S. Army. Steven was an avid football, baseball, and NASCAR fan who had a passion for motorcycles, especially Harley Davidson’s. He was a movie buff, as well.

Steven’s memory will forever be remembered by his loving children, Shane McDonald (Roop) and Susanne Darlington (Robert), both of England, Sandra Linton (Gene) of Warner Robins and Jennifer McDonald of England; 10 grandchildren; mother, Sandra Jay of Stockbridge, GA; and siblings, Dale McDonald (Donna) of Stockbridge, GA and Dawn Jones (Reggie) of Mansfield, GA.

A memorial service celebrating Steven’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 17, 2021, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with Reverend Marty Watson officiating.
