Virginia E. Mulkey

Virginia Estelle Mulkey, 89, entered into rest on Thursday, August 1, 2013.

Mrs. Mulkey was born on April 24, 1924 in Paytes, Virginia to the late James T. Baxter and Maud Paytes Baxter. She was a member of Shirley Hills Baptist Church. Virginia was a Telephone Operator with C & P Telephone Company in Washington, D.C. Mrs. Mulkey was a wonderful, wife, mother, sibling, grandmother and a faithful servant of her Lord and Savior. She enjoyed reading, cooking, and spoiling her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her parents, her beloved husband of sixty-four years, Kenneth Earl Mulkey, two sisters and two brothers, preceded her in death.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her sons, Michael A. Mulkey (Terri) and William T. "Skip" Mulkey; all of Warner Robins; sisters and brothers in law, Barbara Hensley (Bill), Rhodesville, Virginia and Gloria Hellems (Lundy), Elizabethtown, Kentucky; grandchildren, Jamie Daugherty (Shawn), Maryville, Tennessee; Natalie Mulkey, Atlanta; Tim Mulkey and Jacqueline Mulkey, of Warner Robins; four great grandchildren, Derrick, Courtney, Alexis, and Nathan.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 4, 2013 at Shirley Hills Baptist Church with Reverend Andy Cook and Dr. Napp Granade officiating. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Entombment will follow in Magnolia Park Mausoleum.
