Virginia Eye

Virginia Eye, 76, entered into rest on Friday, August 23, 2013.

Ms. Eye was born on April 21, 1937 in Cottonwood Falls, Kansas to the late Nasario Ybarra and Juana Gomez Ybarra. She worked as a Civil Servant with the United States Air Force for thirty-two years, and was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. An avid exerciser, Virginia loved running, going to the gym, and water aerobics. She once ran the Mayor's Race in San Antonio where she won first place in the senior division. Her parents, one sister, Dolores Ybarra, one brother, Fidel Ybarra, and sister in laws, Angela Ybarra and Theresa Ybarra, all preceded her in death.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her children, Kenneth L. Eye (Elizabeth) of Albuquerque, New Mexico; Sherryl Cicone (John) of Solana Beach, California; Gordon C. Eye (Kelly) of Albuquerque, New Mexico; grandchildren, Jacob, Nathan, Jordan and Kenneth Eye; Leah and Jessica Richardson; Marcus and Rory Eye; nine great grandchildren; siblings, Ralph Ybarra of Temecula, California; Robert Ybarra, Detroit Michigan; Raymond Ybarra (Gloria) of Kansas City, Kansas; Edward Ybarra, Albuquerque, New Mexico; Tommi Guardado (John) of Westminster, California; Mary Johns (Jack) of Fallbrook, California; Connie Butter (Cecil) of Cottonwood Falls, Kansas.

Graveside Services will take place at a later date at St. Anthony's Catholic Church Cemetery located in Strong City, Kansas.
