Wayne Lambert

September 14, 1957 — November 28, 2019

Wayne Lambert, 62, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, November 28, 2019.

Wayne was born to the late James Lewis and Martha Blanche Lambert on September 14, 1957 in Mobile, Alabama. A 1976 graduate of Warner Robins High School, he retired from Anchor Glass with 25 dedicated years as a lab technician. As an outdoorsman and hobbyist, his favorite pastimes were camping, especially at Big Hart Campground at Clarks Hill Lake and being an antique car buff. Wayne also loved collecting antiques like signs and Coca-Cola bottles. He had an infectious laugh, a great sense of humor and his quick wit instantly lifted the mood; his off-the-wall comments would get a reaction out of everyone. Wayne especially enjoyed aggravating his wife, Kay, but always in fun.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, James Lewis “J.L.” Lambert, Jr.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 23 years, Kay Lambert; stepson, James Michael Cranford; brother, Buford Lambert (Martha); nephews, Jay Lambert and Lance Lambert (Paula); and his beloved dog, “Jimmy.”

A private graveside memorial service for Wayne’s family will be held at a later date in Byron City Cemetery.
