Wendy Irene Brooks

Wendy Irene Brooks, 69, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, May 26, 2013.

Mrs. Brooks was born on February 2, 1944 in Cefn Hengoed South Wales, Great Britain to the late William and Ivy Israel. Wendy worked for the Harrison County Board of Education in Kentucky as a Teacher's Aide for many years where her efforts eventually designated her an Honorable Kentucky Colonel. She was a life member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post #4075 in Frankfort, Kentucky. Her parents and siblings, Tommy and Emrys Israel, and Ivy and Rosie Davies, preceded her in death.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her loving husband, Richard Duane Brooks, Perry, Georgia; sons and daughters in law, Richard D. Brooks, (Su) and Brian J. Brooks (Kelly) all of Warner Robins, Georgia; grandchildren, Allison, Ashleigh, and Emily Brooks; siblings, Frankie Israel, England; Billy Israel, South Wales; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Thursday evening, May 30, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 31, 2013 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Interment will be at a later date in Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Heart of Georgia Hospice, 103 Westridge Drive, Warner Robins, Georgia 31088.
