Wilbon "Wayne" Davis

Wayne Davis, 71, passed into the arms of Jesus on Thursday, January 5, 2017, after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by his loving family.

Wayne was born on October 2, 1945 in Chester, Georgia to the late Wilbon D. and Annabell R. Davis. He proudly served in the United States Army for five years. Wayne then began his career in civil service at Robins Air Force Base, he retired after twenty-five years of service as an aircraft sheet metal mechanic. In 1980, he accepted Christ as his Savior and then became a member of Green Acres Baptist Church. Wayne was a 32nd Degree Mason of the Scottish Rite.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Glynn Davis.

His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of 50 years, Marie Mullis Davis; daughter Paige D. O'Neal; son-in-love, Tim O'Neal; son, Barry W. Davis; grandchildren, Nicholas R. O'Neal and Madison O'Neal; sisters, Dale Rozier (Bill); Joan Smith Martin (Bo); brother-in-law, Cletus J. Mullis (Imogene) and James K. Mullis (Sara) as well as many other loving family members and friends.

Visitation will be Sunday, January 8, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 9, 2017 in the Chapel of McCullough. Wayne will be laid to rest in a private service at Parkway Memorial Gardens.

to the Heart of Georgia Hospice, 103 Westridge Drive, Warner Robins, GA 31088.
