William Clarence Whittington

William Clarence "W.C." Whittington, III, 56, entered into rest on March 16, 2011.

Mr. Whittington was born on May 18, 1954 in Fort Valley. With pride and honor, he served his country in the United States Air Force becoming a Sergeant. He was later employed by Washburn Moving Company. His brother, James Lynn Whittington; and mother, Myrtice McKinney Powell, preceded him in death.

His memory will forever be treasured by his father, Clarence "Whit" Whittington, Jr.; step-mother, Nancy Whittington; step-brothers, Wayne Gentry, Commerce, and Kent Gentry, Bonaire; and nephew, Jason Whittington, Kathleen.

Visitation will be Friday, March 18, 2011 from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, March 18, 2011 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home, Reverend Gene McKinney officiating. Interment will follow in Dixon United Methodist Church Cemetery in Lizella.
