William Edward Delong, Jr.

William Edward DeLong, 51, entered into rest on Tuesday, May 13, 2008.

Mr. DeLong was born on December 25, 1956 in Columbus, Georgia. With pride and honor, he served in the United States Air Force, retiring as a Sergeant He subsequently obtained a degree in Aviation Technology. He was an avid fisherman and took great joy in spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. His father, William Edward DeLong, Sr., preceded him in death.

His memory will be forever treasured by his daughter, Christina Michelle DeLong, Hawkinsville; son, William E. DeLong III, Macon; grandsons, Chance and Chase Williams; mother, Laura Thompson, Columbus; brothers, Robert Wesley Daniel, Seattle, Washington; Donald Wayne Daniel, La Grange; Henry DeLong, Dothan, Alabama; sister, Judy Register, Dallas; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Friday, May 16, 2008 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 17, 2008, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home.
