William Eugene "Bill" Roberts

William Eugene "Bill" Roberts left this world to join his beloved wife, Connie, in heaven on Thursday, February 18, 2016. He was 71.

Bill was born in Chicago, Illinois one of three sons to the late Elihu Dee and Edna Thompson Roberts. He was a proud United States Air Force Veteran having served his country as a Staff Sergeant during the Vietnam War. Shortly after his military career, Mr. Roberts went into the hotel/motel business and retired as District Manager of the Jameson Inn.

A longtime member of Mulberry Street United Methodist Church in Macon, Bill loved serving the Lord and leading people to Him. He genuinely enjoyed helping people and was passionate about mission work as he traveled all over the world teaching His Word.

In addition to Bill's wife and parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother, Lonnie Dee Roberts.

His memory will forever be treasured by his loving daughters, Camille Young (Larry) of Little Rock, Arkansas and Carla Harrell (John) of Eastman, Georgia; grandchildren, Luke and Caleb Young and Ayla and Eden Harrell; brother, Lamar Roberts (Cindy) of Zephyrhills, Florida; and numerous adoring nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation will be Sunday, February 21st from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 22nd at Mulberry Street United Methodist Church in Macon with the Reverend Tommy Perkins officiating. Mr. Roberts will be laid to rest the same day at 3:00 p.m. in Oak Hill Cemetery, 96 Jefferson Street, Newnan, Georgia.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Mr. Roberts to Macon Outreach at Mulberry c/o MSUMC, P.O. Box 149, Macon, GA 31202 .
