William H. "Billy" Williams, Jr.

True blue Bonaire Boy, Billy Williams, Jr. passed away on the afternoon of Monday, October 17, 2022, at the age of 72. He leaves behind countless fond memories to be treasured by his family and numerous friends.

Billy was born in Denver, CO on March 9, 1950 to the late Mamie Jo and William H. Williams, Sr. A Civil Service Retiree at Robins Air Force Base, he was well-loved in the town of Bonaire. He wore the titles of the “Mayor of Bonaire” and “Coach” with humility. Billy loved children and enjoyed coaching having influenced the lives of many Bonaire kids through the years; so many remember him taking them home in the back of the pickup truck from ball practice. He was a staple member of the Bonaire Boys Club and spent his free time singing karaoke, riding motorcycles, playing golf and softball, cooking, and attending the Big Pig Jig in Vienna each year. Billy’s welcoming smile, loyalty, and outgoing personality will be missed by everyone who had the opportunity to know him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Leona Williams; and his brothers, Robert and Danny Williams.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving children, Bill Williams and Leslie Williams (Jennifer Walton); grandchildren, Sarah Turner (Blake Forbes), W.H. Williams (Caitlin) and Larainna Williams; great-grandchildren, Willy and Junie; brother, David Williams; and loving companion and caregiver, Gina Ingram-Dyksterhouse.

Friends are invited to visitation with Billy’s family to take place on Friday, October 21, 2022, from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will immediately follow at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Billy will be laid to rest in Bonaire Cemetery following the service.
