William J. "Bill" Hudson

William J. "Bill" Hudson, 77, died peacefully at Houston Medical Center on Monday, January 11, 2016.

Bill was born on October 09, 1938 in Hawkinsville, Georgia. He lived the majority of his life in Centerville attended Harvest Church a Methodist Congregation in Byron. It was with great honor and pride that Bill served in the United States Navy before beginning his career in civil service. He retired from civil service as a Facilities Manager. Bill coached T-Ball, Little League Football, and Track for many years at the local recreational department. In his spare time he enjoyed genealogy research and anything that involved spending time with his beloved family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren who sweetly referred to him as "P-pa".

His son, John T. Hudson; grandson, Andrew Seth Hudson; parents, John T. "Red" and Lillian Jones Hudson; and six siblings, preceded him in death.

His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of 56 years, Anita A. Hudson of Centerville; children, Angela "Angie" Hudson McDade of Byron; Stormie Cherie Chenoweth (Thomas) of Bonaire; Andrew Jack Hudson of Centerville; Penny J. Bradley of Hawkinsville; grandchildren, Haylee Wilson Bassett, J. Cole Miller, Micah Thomas Miller, Zachary Z. Hudson, Nathan P. Campbell, Kirsten Mirina Hudson, Jennifer Marie Chenoweth; as well as four great grandchildren; and honorary daughters, Hanna Peacock and Robin Bills.

Visitation will be Thursday, January 14, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 15, 2016 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Following the service, Bill will be laid to rest in Orange Hill Cemetery in Hawkinsville, GA.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of William J. "Bill" Hudson to Heart of Georgia Hospice, 103 Westridge Drive, Warner Robins, Ga 31088 or Harvest Church Building Fund, 3322 Hwy 41 N., Byron, Ga 31088.
